WHERE TRADITION MEETS INNOVATION

The Hangzhou Song

The Hangzhou Song — original photographThe Hangzhou Song
As an international traveler, Leif Almö has visited many places all over the world. But, just like Marco Polo, he found that Hangzhou possessed an exceptional beauty and fantastic people. Therefore, he wrote the lyrics to the song “Hangzhou” as a tribute to the city. You can listen to the song or download the song free of charge.

Our song “Hangzhou”
VisitHangzou.com is very proud to present our song  “Hangzhou” that we recorded in 2005 and that is our tribute to this fantastic and beautiful ancient city, today a modern metropolis. The song is in English for an international  audience who pronounce the city name Hangzhou slightly different than the natives in Hangzhou.

LYRICS

There is a paradise in heaven on earth there is Hangzhou
Once a place for emperors. Today for me and you

If you looking for a life of quality and pleasure
Then you are welcome to the city of leisure

The water in West Lake is shimmering on sunny days
The Mountains around you is just an amaze
You do not believe it when you see this treasure
You are on the doorsteps to the city of leisure

There is a paradise in heaven on earth there is  Hangzhou
Once a place for emperors Today for me and you
If you looking for a life of quality and pleasure
Then you are welcome to the city of leisure

Meet  myriad of peach blossoms opening their leaves
Enter the shrine of Yue Lao stand under its eaves
The nature has a beauty that is difficult to measure
Are you in a dream-no you are in the city of leisure

There is a paradise in heaven  on earth there is Hangzhou
Once a place for emperors Today for me and you
If you looking for a life of quality and pleasure
Then you are welcome to the city of leisure

There is a paradise in heaven  on earth there is  Hangzhou
Once a place for emperors Today for me and you……
